Flower girls are such a delightful part of weddings! From their beautiful dresses to their sweet, adorable faces, they add a sense of anticipation to your day. Although the role of the flower girl may seem small, it's actually quite the opposite. You see, the flower girl proceeds the bride in which she gently paves the aisle with flower petals right before the bride's entrance! Pretty grand right? Here are a few tips to on how to ask your precious petal princess to pave the aisle!
Will You Be My Flower Girl?
Little girls know it's kind of a big deal to participate in a wedding. So asking her to be a part of your big day should only be asked in a big way. After getting the "okay" from her parents, here are a few ways to make the petal proposal unique:
Ask her with flowers. Find out her favorite florals OR choose a mini-bouquet similar to what you'll carry on your wedding day.
Share a book. Believe it or not, there are tons of books about flower girls FOR flower girls. Pinkalicious: Flower Girl by Victoria Kann is one of my favorites and can be found on Amazon.com along with a few others.
Give her a Keepsake. This is something she'll treasure even after the wedding. It can be as simple a card or a picture of the two of you together in a special frame.
Sweets are a ALWAYS a great TREAT! Surprise her with her favorite cookie or cupcake.
The gift of Sparkle! A necklace, earrings, or bracelet are also great ideas which can serve a dual purpose, asking her participation as well as wearing it during the wedding. She'll feel so special walking down the aisle in a personal piece of jewelry given to her from you!
