When the Details Matters

When the Groom has personality and style, why not show it off? Featured above, our NYC groom in his custom-tailored tuxedo from Knot Standard-Dallas in navy. The bride and her gown will always be a show-stopper, but we made sure the groom would turn heads as well. Here are a few things to remember when the details matter for your groom:

Figure out your wedding style: Formal or informal. This will ultimately determine if you're wearing a tuxedo or really nice suit.

  • Call formal wear shops to set up an appointment (not all shops require an appointment but it's best to call ahead)

  • Don't forget the tuxedo/suit "must-haves"

  • Shoes

  • Shirt

  • Cummerbund or vest

  • Tie or ascot

  • Cuff links or studs

  • Socks

  • Go to your own fitting when scheduled

  • Pick up your tuxedo/suit

  • Break in your shoes if they're new. Wearing them around the house for short periods of time will do the trick

  • Subtle touches are a sure way to OWN your day. Try pops of color with your pocket square, socks, tie or vest
